World number one Tennis star, Novak Djokovic, has declared the upcoming Paris Olympics as a top priority for him this year. The 36-year-old Serbian has an impressive tally of 24 Grand Slam titles, but an Olympic gold medal has so far eluded him.

Despite earning a bronze medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Djokovic has fallen short in his last three Olympic appearances, failing to reach the finals. However, the tennis legend believes the unique circumstances of the Paris Olympics, which will be held on the clay courts of Roland Garros, present a fresh opportunity for him to capture the elusive gold medal.

“The Paris Olympics are very important – the Olympics have always been a priority for me,” Djokovic acknowledged. “But in the last three or four Olympics, it’s not been possible for me to reach the later stages [the final].”

The Serbian superstar is determined to be physically and mentally prepared for the challenge of the Paris Olympics, which will take place in late July, shortly after the conclusion of the French Open. Djokovic is focused on honing his game specifically for the clay court surface, stating, “It’s all about building my game for clay courts. I want to reach my peak for Paris – that’s where I want to play my best tennis. Anything else is a bonus, so let’s see what happens.”

With his sights firmly set on the Paris Olympics, Djokovic will first aim to regain the Wimbledon title on grass before shifting his attention to the clay-court preparations for the Summer Games. Tennis fans around the world will eagerly follow the journey of this Tennis Legend as he seeks to add the coveted Olympic gold medal to his long list of accomplishments.
