Tennis Talents Shine at 2024 Australian Claycourt Championships

The 2024 12/u & 14/u Australian Claycourt Championships concluded on Sunday after a spectacular week of tennis at the Canberra Tennis Centre. The event attracted 128 of Australia’s most promising junior athletes, including 9 local ACT competitors seeking to defend their home turf.

Despite falling short in the finals, Tennis ACT commended the exceptional efforts of Tommy Camus and Piyushi Bandara, who reached the championship matches in the 12/u Boys and 12/u Girls divisions, respectively. Their passion and skill were on full display throughout the week-long event.

The newly crowned champions included Emilie Chen (NSW) in the 14/u Girls’ Singles, Ethan Domingo (NSW) in the 14/u Boys’ Singles, Christian Joseph (QLD) in the 12/u Boys’ Singles, and Ana Maric (VIC) in the 12/u Girls’ Singles. The doubles titles were shared among various talented junior athletes from across the country.
