Struff Triumphs Over Auger-Aliassime at Bavarian International Tennis Championships
In a closely contested quarterfinal clash at the Bavarian International Tennis Championships, Montreal’s Felix Auger-Aliassime suffered a 7-5, 6-4 defeat at the hands of Germany’s Jan-Lennard Struff. The match, which had begun on Friday, was temporarily interrupted by rain and resumed the following day.
The fourth-seeded Struff showcased his dominance, firing six aces compared to Auger-Aliassime’s three, and winning 66% of his first-serve points. Meanwhile, the fifth-seeded Canadian struggled with consistency, committing three double faults over the course of the one hour and 43-minute encounter.
